About
Richard Turley is a skilled director with more than ten years experience in broadcasting. He has worked across a variety of genres, from drama to documentaries, in both adult and children’s television, with many high-profile credits to his name. In 2010 his film ‘Caught in the Web’ was nominated for a BAFTA. Richard has extensive foreign filming experience having filmed in Japan, South America, the USA, Micronesia, and throughout Europe. He is creative level-headed and a brilliant story teller.
Here’s what’s been said about Richard:
[grid12]
…incredibly dedicated and hard working. He is a true auteur who has an amazing capability to be over every aspect of the production. His calm, affable and humorous presence on set does not fail to motivate and inspire those who are working with him. He has a very easy and engaging manner with actors and technicians a like and is a director who appreciates the collaborative nature of film making. His greatest strength is his imagination which when coupled with his innate ability for story telling produces a natural and talented film maker. I never hesitate to say yes to working with Richard, no matter what the challenge… Director of Photography.
[/grid12]
[grid12]
Richard strikes the perfect balance between delegation and leadership, allowing each member of his team to bring their own influence to a project, whilst maintaining his own creative vision. Creatively, Richard always pushed the boundaries of a project, going beyond what is expected, and manages to do so with a calm and positive attitude… an inspiring and inventive director to work with… Special effects supervisor and animator.
[/grid12]
[grid12]
He is consistently creative, clever, witty and thoughtful. I have been amazed at several of his films, for the truly unique vision that he produces. He is extremely good with his budgets and can make a little go a long way. His scheduling is accurate and always plans his films meticulously. Richard is one of the hardest working people I know, and is a pleasure to work with… Production Manager.
